Over time timber windows can deteriorate. If you can see cracks in the frame above your window, this could be a sign that your existing timber windows need repair. Regular maintenance is essential to keep timber windows in good condition. Ignoring signs of damaged timber can lead to further problems, including damp penetration and rot.

Renovation
Renovate, not replace!
Below is an example of a replacement bottom rail & a stile repair. We have taken the sash window out to do this and once completed, we have put the sash back in and have covered any new timber with a white primer, ready for final decoration.
We endeavour to retain the original box frame and sill by undertaking any repairs where required. This helps reduce the disruption to the property. However, if the sashes & frame are rotten and replacement is the only option we can quote for this as well, please see our replacement windows page.
